This tutorial will walk you through the entire process of connecting your SafePal App to the Aster Perp DEX and trading with it. Aster is a leading perp DEX enabling users to open long and short positions with up to 100x leverage on crypto and RWAs (i.e. tokenized stocks).
Prerequisites Before You Start:
SafePal App: Installed SafePal App V4.11.6 or above on your phone device.
Wallet: Configured with some crypto assets (e.g., BNB for gas fees and other tokens like USDT, ETH, etc., for trading).
BNB for Gas: Ensure you have a small amount of $BNB (BEP20) in your wallet to pay for transaction (gas) fees on the BNB Smart Chain.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
The old Aster-Legacy version of Aster will be deprecated at 31/07/2026 23:59:59 UTC, you can upgrade your SafePal to V4.11.6 or just follow the guideline here to migrate to the new Aster Mini-Program.
Step 1: Open the SafePal App and Access the Trade Center
Launch your SafePal App and click the Trade icon in the bottom right corner of the SafePal App screen.
Tap on one of the Trading pairs; in this tutorial, we will trade $BTC/USDT.
To navigate to the Aster Perp DEX, you can input 'Aster' to search for the Aster DApp, or simply click the Aster Mini-Program tab to enter Aster Perp DEX from the SafePal Explorer center.
You can also find the Aster Mini-Program tab from the wallet homepage, tap on it.
Step 2: Connect Your SafePal App to Aster
The Aster homepage will load within the SafePal App, tap Connect.
Tap Confirm.
Enter your App password to authorize the signature to connect your SafePal App to the Aster Mini-Program.
A prompt message Login succeesful will appear for a while to indicate you successfully logged in Aster.
Step 3: Deposit to your Aster account
Your wallet is now connected! You are supposed to see the screen displayed in the following Aster interface, tap Deposit.
Choose the network and enter the amount of $USDT for your deposit to Aster.
View the deposit details; if ok then tap Confirm.
Enter your SafePal App password for the sign authorization, and kindly note you need to have the $BNB on BEP20 network as gas fee, usually 0.002 to 0.005 $BNB will be sufficient.
Congrats! You have successfully deposited funds to Aster.
Step 4: Trade in the Aster perp DEX
After you successfully deposit $USDT to your Aster account, you are good to go with the trading. Click the BTCUSDT trading Pair.
Place your Future order, like adjusting the leverage, setting the price and entering the amount of your oder, etc, after you confirm the order, click Buy Long/Sell Short.
You have successfully placed a trading order via Aster perp DEX in the SafePal App, you can wait for the order to be executed.
Step 5: Check and Track your Trading Orders
Congratulations! You have successfully traded cryptos using the Aster Perp DEX directly through your SafePal wallet. You can click the Order History Tab on the Aster wallet page.
And check and track all your trading order history in the Aster Perp DEX account.
Important Security Tips
- Bookmark the DApp: Once loaded, bookmark Aster within the SafePal DApp browser for easy and safe access next time.
- Verify URLs: Do not click on links from unknown sources.
- Revoke Permissions: Periodically, you can review and revoke token approvals made by DApps like Aster using tools like "Revoke" or "Token Approval" on the BscScan website. This is an advanced safety practice.
- Start Small: If you are new to a DApp, test with a small amount first.
