What is a Security Password?
SafePal Security Password is a password configured when you firstly download and set up the SafePal App.

If the SafePal App version you installed is V4.0.0 or above version, the security password is a set of 6-digit numbers. Security password is used to unlock wallet, approve transactions, authorize DeFi logins, and control other security features. It is the most important password when you use SafePal App.

If the SafePal App version you installed is V3.9.2 or lower version, and you have never completely deleted or uninstalled the SafePal App, then the SafePal security password is a set of at least 8 letters (letters and numbers). The security password is used to unlock wallet, approve transactions, authorize DeFi logins, and control other security features such as Touch ID logins or pattern logins. It is the most important password when you use SafePal App.
What if I forget my Security Password?
Since SafePal doesn't store or access your security information such as the mnemonic phrase or the security passwords, we are not able to help recover your account once you forget the Security Password. If you have forgotten the Security Password of the SafePal App, please follow this instruction to reset it by yourself:
- Make sure you have backed up your seed phrase
- Delete, and re-install the SafePal App
- Recover your wallet in the SafePal App using the correct mnemonic phrase. During the wallet recovery, you are able to set a new wallet password.
