Staking your $Tron (TRX) is one of the smartest ways to put your crypto to work. By staking TRX through the SafePal wallet, you can earn passive income with yields often reaching up to 10%APY (Annual Percentage Yield), all while keeping your funds secure in a non-custodial environment.
Unlike simply holding coins in an exchange, staking via SafePal gives you full control over your private keys. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to stake TRX using the XYSwap staking mechanism available directly in the app.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have the following:
- SafePal App: Download and install the latest SafePal App (version V4.6.11 or higher).
- TRX Balance: You need TRX in your wallet to stake. You can buy $TRX via the "Buy" crypto feature in the App or transfer it from an exchange.
- Network Fee Reserve: You will need a small amount of $TRX (approx. 1-2 TRX) to pay for the network fee (Bandwidth/Energy) to sign the staking transaction .
Step-by-Step Guide to Staking $TRX
Step 1: Navigate to SafePal Earn
Launch the SafePal App on your mobile device, tap Earn icon on the Wallet tab.
You will see the staking dashboard displaying the current estimated APY (often ranging from 2% to 10% depending on network participation). Find and tap the Stake TRX service tab from the Earn section.
Step 2: Choose Your Staking Amount
Enter the amount of TRX you wish to stake, tap confirm.
Note: You do not need to stake all your $TRX; leave a few coins in your available balance to pay for future transaction fees (gas).
Review your staking details and the network fees, tap Confirm.
Step 3: Sign the Transaction
Enter your SafePal App password (or verify via biometrics/Face ID) to sign the transaction .
Step 4: Verify Your Rewards
Once the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain (usually takes a few seconds). You will see your staked balance on my holdings section.
How to Unstake (Withdraw) Your TRX
Flexibility is key. If you need to access your funds: Tap on the Withdraw tab from the TRX staking page.
Enter the amount you want to unlock, and sign to confirm the transaction.
Note: After the unstaking/withdrawal request is received, the claiming will be available after 15 days.
