Prerequisites
- SafePal App Version: Ensure your SafePal App is updated to version 4.7.11 or above. This is essential for compatibility .
- Hardware Wallet Ready: You need a SafePal S1 or S1 Pro hardware wallet, charged and powered on. Have the device ready, as you will need to use it to sign the transaction.
- $GRAM (TON) Balance: Your wallet must contain at least 2.1 GRAM. The minimum staking amount is 1 GRAM.
- Connection: The SafePal App on your phone must be connected to your hardware wallet (typically via QR code scan).
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Connect Hardware Wallet to SafePal App
Launch the SafePal App on your phone and open the hardware wallet that is paired with the App. This is the hardware wallet where you own GRAM tokens and want to stake $GRAM in Tonstakers. Usually, this involves scanning back and forth a QR code displayed on the hardware wallet's screen with the mobile App.
Step 2: Navigate to Tonstakers
From the main wallet interface, tap the Earn tab.
Within the Earn section, find and tap on the Stake.
You can see the $GRAM staking pool and tap on it to, you will be redirected in the Tonstakers option to access the staking service. This is the same interface used by the software wallet, but the final step will require hardware confirmation.
Step 3: Enter the Amount of $GRAM to Stake
On the Tonstakers staking page, enter the amount of $GRAM you want to stake. You can use the "Max" button to stake your full available balance (minus a small buffer for TON transaction fees) .
Please carefully review the transaction details, including the amount of GRAM to be staked and the estimated network fee (gas fee), then tap Confirm.
Step 4: Authorize the Staking Transaction
Enter your SafePal App security password or use biometric authentication (fingerprint/Face ID) to initiate the staking transaction.
The mobile App will now prepare the transaction and prompt you to use your hardware wallet for signature. A QR code will appear on your mobile SafePal App screen, awaiting authorization from your hardware wallet.
Scan the above code with your hardware wallet. Its screen will display the transaction details for you to review.
Carefully review the transaction information, including the recipient address and the amount of GRAM being staked, then tap OK on your hardware wallet device. Then enter the correct PIN, the device will then sign the transaction in an air-gapped environment, ensuring your private keys never touch the internet .
Tap Confirm on your SafePal App to confirm to broadcast the transaction onto the chain.
Step 5: Final Confirmation and Receiving tsTON
After signing on the hardware wallet, the App will broadcast the transaction to the TON blockchain. Once confirmed, the staking is successful. You will receive tsTON tokens in your SafePal wallet, which represent your staked position and will start accruing rewards (compounded automatically every 18 hours) .
