Firstly, I would like to say it is essential to understand and accept the fact that blockchain transfer from a decentralized wallet is irreversible and anonymous. Once a transaction is completed and broadcast onto the blockchain, no one can stop or reverse that transaction. We have to examine and ensure that all the addresses/Memo(if needed)/networks are completely correct when transferring or receiving a cryptocurrency. In the financial industry, it is quite common to send a small amount first, after successfully transferring, then transfer the remaining amount, thus preventing colossal loss due to human errors.
And in this section, you may find some answers or solutions to common inquiries regarding a cryptocurrency transfer.
1. What can I do if there is no or insufficient gas fee in my wallet?
SafePal doesn’t charge any fee or cost for the transaction items on the blockchain in a SafePal wallet. But please note we will need to pay the gas fee (also called miner fee) for each transaction on the blockchain, this gas fee is not charged by SafePal but by miners who confirm and broadcast the transactions on the blockchain.
For example, transferring ERC20 tokens needs to have enough $ETH to pay the miner fee( or gas fee, some people usually like to call it), moving the BEP20 token requires $BNB (BEP20) coins to pay the miner fee.
Following are some typical cases:
BEP20 tokens=>mainnet coin BNB(BEP20)
BEP2 tokens=>mainnet coin BNB(BEP2)
TRC20 tokens=>mainnet coin TRX
ERC20 tokens=>ETH(ERC20) coin
Solana tokens=> SOL coins
Polygon tokens=> MATIC coins
You are welcome to buy small amounts of crypto as a gas fee via the SafePal Gas station feature, the guideline on how to use the Gas Station can be found here . You can also ask your friends to send you some mainnet coins as a gas fee if they have.
2. What can I do if I wrongly transfer a cryptocurrency?
Blockchain transfers can't be canceled or reverted.
If you made a wrong transfer, like sending a token or coin to a wrong destination address, sending a token to the token contract address, or mistakenly sending a token to its mainnet coin address, such as sending a $VET(BEP20) token to $VET(VeChain) coin address, unfortunately, no one is able to stop or revert a mistaken transfer like above cases.
The possible way is to ask the recipient to send it back if you happen to know who the recipient is.
3. Why did I transfer crypto but it didn’t get credited into my SafePal wallet? Or why is my receiving amount less than the amount I sent?
Sometimes, you may have no idea why the crypto is not credited into the SafePal wallet after you made a transaction, or the receiving amount is less than what you sent. If you encountered a situation like this, you can first look through the following steps to see if it is helpful:
Firstly, you will need to carefully examine if you have correctly transferred a token or coin: the address is correct(not any missing info or error in the address), the sent crypto is correct(not a cross-chain transfer like sending a token to the coin address).
Secondly, you need to check whether the transferred crypto is supported by SafePal wallet or not. Check here to know all the coins and tokens that are supported in the SafePal wallet. If you send a token or coin which SafePal has not supported yet, it will not be successfully credited into your SafePal wallet.
Thirdly, verify the TXID on the public blockchain explorer to see if the transaction is completed or not, some transactions can be dropped on the blockchain due to network congestion or node issues sometimes. If a transaction is not successfully broadcast onto the blockchain, it means the transfer has failed, you can retransfer the funds if the funds are still in the source address after your check.
But, if your transaction details are completely correct with no issue, and the TXID has been broadcast onto the public explorer, not yet to receive the cryptos in your wallet or the receiving amount is incorrect, then please submit a ticket here and provide us the details of the transfer :

The SafePal support team will further look into the transfer and assist you after we receive your ticket within 24-48 hours.
