When using the SafePal S1 hardware wallet, you first need to pair it with the SafePal App.
This pairing allows the SafePal App to update and display your on-chain assets, making it easier to manage and view your funds. If you've created a new wallet on the S1 device and successfully paired it with the App, you may want to manually add certain coins to your S1 hardware wallet. And this guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to add and manage $CHR(Chromia) coins on your SafePal S1 hardware wallet.
Step 1 Ensure that you've created a new wallet on the S1 device and paired it with the SafePal App. If you need further assistance, you can refer to the detailed guidelines [here].
Step 2 Open the SafePal App, then tap the ‘+’ icon to go to the Coin Management page. This should be the wallet that you've paired with the SafePal App.
Step 3 Tap the search bar or the blank field below the button, and enter the name of the coin you wish to add. In this case, type $CHR(Chromia) and tap '+' at rightmost of the coin.
Step 4 Scan back and forth between the App and the S1 hardware wallet, so that the data can be correctly synchronized between the App and the S1 wallet.
Step 5 Then the coins are successfully added and you can view them in the 'Asset Management' tab on the S1 device.
Step 6 Launch your S1 and navigate to Asset Management, select a coin that you would like to receive from others.

Before you can make transfers on Chromia mainnet, you must register your account on the Economy Chain. You can check your registration status by viewing the bottom right corner of the Economy Chain dapp page. Chromia requires users to meet certain conditions before registering their account on Economy Chain. These requirements are in place to prevent chain ‘bloat’ created by users registering an unlimited number of accounts.
Users can register their account in one of the following ways:

Stake and delegate 10 or more CHR on any chain through our Official Staking Page.

Bridge at least 10 or more CHR from Ethereum or Binance Chain to Chromia Economy Chain using the Chromia Vault transfer page.

Withdraw at least 10 Native CHR from a participating exchange to their Economy Chain address, and then spend 10 CHR to register their account.

Receive at least 10 Native CHR from another registered account, and then spend 10 CHR to register their account.

Step 7 Select ‘Receive’
Step 8 Enter your PIN code of the S1.
Step 9 Then you can see the QR code of your coin address, and show it to others so that they can scan and send the coin to you.

Note: The S1 hardware wallet is an offline device to keep your private key and mnemonic phrase protected, it can't detect and update the balances automatically. To check the balance of the hardware wallet account, please pair the SafePal App with the S1 device, the SafePal App can display all of the asset details of your wallet.
