For a Swap order, it usually takes 15 to 30 minutes to complete.
If you are seeing a Swap order taking a longer time than this, there could be three reasons behind it:
1. Extreme market volatility
Since cryptocurrency is a highly volatile asset category, the exchange rate and speed for your swap order could be severely impacted by the actual crypto market situation. For example, if the price of the target token you aim to swap suddenly increases, the slippage rate of the swap order will exceed the tolerance and thus the order could be stuck and pending for a better price.
In this case, the Swap order will be shown as stuck in the order center. you can decide whether you would like to continue or cancel the order in the Swap order center. Here is a tutorial of how to cancel a Swap order.
2. Blockchain network congestion
Swap orders are blockchain transfers that need to go through the broadcast process and wait for blockchain confirmations. If a blockchain is congested, it will impact all of the Swap orders placed for the assets on this blockchain. Since no one can revert or cancel a blockchain transfer once it is broadcast to the blockchain, in this case, please wait patiently. Once the blockchain congestion is relieved, the Swap order will certainly go through.
3. Insufficient liquidity for the swap pair
If the swap pair you selected is not an actively trading pair on the market and the market liquidity is shallow, it could lead to a longer completion time. Please patiently wait for the order's completion.
